Department of Mechatronics Engineering
The Department of Mechatronics Engineering offers students an integrated curriculum encompassing the fields of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and computer engineering. The goal is to educate graduates who can perceive, reason, make decisions, and act upon those decisions, utilizing the necessary sub-technologies to create a product or system or effectively communicating with experts in related fields.

History
The Department of Mechatronics Engineering was established under the Faculty of Engineering at Fırat University. The undergraduate program began accepting students in the fall semester of 2008, followed by the graduate program in the fall semester of 2011. Starting from the fall semester of 2012, the undergraduate program has included an optional one-year English preparatory class before the standard four-year engineering education. Education and training are conducted in the department’s dedicated 5000 m² building.

Mission and Vision
Our mission is to educate mechatronics engineers who have the potential to shape the information age, take responsibility at all stages of the technological development process, work as team members, and integrate design and production with topics in mechanical, electrical-electronics, control, and computer engineering. We aim to produce graduates who can collaborate with customers and other teams, are passionate about their work, experience the development of products and technology, take initiative, plan responsibly, and achieve results in a short time. Additionally, we strive to instill a critical approach, ethical behavior, and a commitment to lifelong learning, enabling our graduates to serve their country and humanity with a strong sense of duty.

Our vision is to be a department that provides education at an international level, aims to produce scientific knowledge and develop intelligent technologies, contributes to improving the quality of life and economic welfare of society, continuously renews itself, and is recognized internationally.
