Our Department’s Achievement at the 2024–2025 Spring Term Final Project Exhibition

The Faculty of Engineering’s Final Project Exhibition was held on 12 June 2025 at the Atatürk Cultural Center (AKM). A total of 41 projects participated in the exhibition, three of which were submitted by the Mechatronics Engineering Department; two of these won awards, making our department proud.

The project titled
“GrowWise: An AI-Assisted Smart Gardener Robot for Detecting Plants, Measuring Moisture, Identifying and Cutting Harmful Weeds, and Watering Plants,”
conducted by our student Abdurrahman Elhac Abdullah and Computer Engineering student Mutez Rahal, was awarded third place following evaluation. The project was supervised by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hakan Çelik and Prof. Dr. Mehmet Kaya.

Additionally, the project
“Companion Glove for Postoperative and Bedridden Patients,”
carried out by our student Alican Güzel under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Muhammet Aydın, placed fourth and received an honorable mention.
